Dave Edwards

Dave Edwards is BIO’s Director for Animal Biotechnology, where he works with companies using biotechnology to address food security, sustainability, human health and animal welfare issues through cutting edge innovations.  He hails from Iowa and has made the D.C. area home for the last 6 years with his family and pets.

Dave holds a PhD in Animal Science from Michigan State University and has previously worked in academic research and for the U.S. Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry.  He enjoys raising a backyard garden, especially the taste of a fresh-picked tomato.
