To Cancel or Not to Cancel
That is the question! And one that is going to come up quite a bit as we get closer to the BIO International Convention, and so we wanted to address it. You learned all about the Scheduling Process in a previous post, such as what is a delegate’s responsibility, like updating your availability, and what BIO takes care of for you, such as assigning actual space to your meetings. On the note of availability, we Read More >
Tradeshow Speed Dating: Associations Now Piece
In the April/May issue of Associations Now, writer Jacqui Cook profiled the Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO) and, appropriately for this post, the BIO One-on-One Partnering System. They give a good synopsis of some of the challenges organizations – and people – face at a typical tradeshow. You’re going there to make contacts, not to mention spending money to do so, and there’s often no real structure, process, or easy ways to discern the value of Read More >
Only a Few Public Biotechs are Profitable, but There are More of Them Today
Of the 294 biotechs trading on public exchanges today, 248 (84%) focus on drug development. Of these 248 in the biopharmaceutical space, 81, or 33% have a drug approved. Note that this comes over a time frame in which a few profitable companies were Read More >

As mentioned in a previous post, we wanted to discuss scheduling in a bit more detail, so that you understand what scheduling means, and how it impacts the way you use the Partnering System. First and foremost, meetings are only scheduled for those in Accepted/Agreed-To status. Your action item? Go in to your Read More >
Monday Items for #BIO2012 Business Forum
Happy Monday Everyone! We thought we would do a quick post on some important items concerning the BIO Business Forum and One-on-One Partnering. The Profile Publication Deadline is May 22nd. Why is this important? For one, if you have not published your profile, companies just have a harder time finding you. Make it easy for them. Fill out your keywords; provide as much detail in the assets/products/services categories as possible; Publish and Save! Second, publishing Read More >
