Dendreon Corporation (Nasdaq: DNDN) today reported regulatory and commercialization progress for PROVENGE® (sipuleucel-T), the company’s investigational prostate cancer product. Dendreon expects to prepare for commercialization of PROVENGE by the middle of next year. XOMA Ltd. (Nasdaq:XOMA) is developing an antibody that has been shown by Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Harvard Medical School researchers to neutralize group 1 influenza A viruses, including H1N1 and H5N1. XOMA will conduct the program under a $2.2 million subcontract with SRI International of Menlo Park, California. The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases will fund the subcontract.
