Education program session titles and speakers for the 2017 BIO World Congress on Industrial Biotechnology are now available on the conference website. The education program features seven diverse content tracks over three days of the conference, drawing speakers from across the globe. #BIOWC17 is the world’s largest industrial biotechnology and partnering event, and it will be held July 23-26, 2017 at the Palais des congrès de Montréal in Montréal, Québec, Canada.
“BIO’s 2017 World Congress will feature the most diverse group of speakers and presenters in the conference’s history, with scientists and executives from start-up companies, investors from the finance sector, consumer product manufacturers and government officials from across Canada, Europe, the United States and Asia,” Brent Erickson, executive vice president of BIO’s Industrial & Environmental Section, says. “The education program and partnering system provide a unique forum for conference attendees to share the latest advances in renewable chemicals, synthetic biology, enzymes, food ingredients, fragrances, flavors, cosmetics, biofuels and biorefineries, agricultural crops and biobased materials.”
Representatives from well-known brand owners such as IKEA, Unilever, Method and Seventh Generation will be featured on breakout and plenary panels alongside executives from start-up renewable chemical companies that are developing ingredients and materials for better consumer products. Industry analysts and investment gurus will offer an economic growth outlook. Many — but by no means all — of the sessions will be hosted in the Renewable Chemicals and Biobased Materials education track.
