BIO’s South Dakota Affiliate Announces New Executive Director

The South Dakota Biotechnology Association has hired Joni Johnson, a renewable fuels industry expert, as the new executive director. Joni Johnson previously headed up operations for the bioethanol company Poet’s political action committee. The National Council of Chain Restaurants, a member of the Smarter Fuel Future coalition that includes national petroleum refining and meat producer trade groups, recently launched a new front in the effort to dismantle the Renewable Fuel Standard.
