At Monday’s keynote luncheon, former British Prime Minister Tony Blair was quizzed about his motives for seeking office and his feelings about the criticism he received for allying with former President Bush. Interesting, but just as I was beginning to wonder if Blair would comment on the biotech industry, he did. Succinctly and with British understatement. When BIO president Jim Greenwood asked how Blair saw the role of government in advancing biotech, he replied “two things:”
