Now that the Business Forum and International Convention are behind us, our Business Development department has been gearing up for a very busy Fall schedule.
For our first Fall event, BIO returns to India for its 2nd annual BIO India International Partnering Conference September 21st and 22nd. Last year’s conference attracted more than 400 attendees representing 220 companies, from 17 countries around the world, – who scheduled over 750 meetings. We’ve had a lot of positive feedback from last year’s attendees, and Partnering is live and ready! Partnering is also taking off for the Sofinnova Japan Biopharma Partnering Conference, taking place October 4th. Now in its fifth year, the event brings together premier biotechnology companies from North America and Europe with influential Japanese licensing and business development executives. This will also be the second year that the event will feature BIO’s One-on-One Partnering System, where over 300 meetings were scheduled. We’re looking forward to returning!
Looking to expand into Asia and learn how to bring your distribution to China? Well, BIO is heading to Shanghai! The inaugural BIO China event is October 12th – 13th, and we’re expecting more than 1,000 meetings to take place. BIO China will bring together executives from biotechnology, pharmaceutical companies and investment firms from around the world to meet and explore business opportunities with China’s emerging biotech sector. Finally, and back stateside, we have the 10 year anniversary of the BIO Investor Forum, October 25 – 26th in San Francisco! Returning this year is a special track of ‘Discovery Companies’, which debuted at the 9th annual event, and drew lots of folks to company presentations. Here, biotech companies can use the One-on-One Partnering system to schedule meetings with a full roster of investors specifically looking to meet with private and emerging public companies. Last year, you scheduled a total of 982 meetings, and this year’s Partnering System will be launching very soon. Stay tuned!
