Before we all get overwhelmed with the holiday season madness, don’t forget the 2013 BIO International Convention is only six months away! And while that may seem like plenty of time to get ready for Convention, April and Chicago will be here before we know it.
This week, both housing and registration opened which is a perfect reminder to start looking in to travel plans for the windy city. And before you book that flight, rental car or train, be sure to check out the exciting changes taking place this year to ensure you arrive in plenty of time to take advantage of all the event has to offer.
Monday will feature the International Spotlights and Policies Track, a full day program focused on the BRIC countries. Additional Monday programming includes: BioTech Primer; Translational Research Forum; Biotechnology Entrepreneurship Boot Camp; Breakout Sessions and International Market Briefings.
The Convention program will feature three days of cutting-edge educational sessions which will see shorter session times, interactive panel discussions with dynamic speakers and a more informal room set which will allow for audience engagement. Speakers will share breakthroughs in medicine, diagnostics, the environment, energy production, business operations, financing, partnerships, policy issues and food and agriculture.
Also opening Monday afternoon, the BIO Business Forum™ will once again look to host a record breaking number of partnering meetings. Powered by BIO’s One-on-One Partnering™ System, the BIO Business Forum™ fosters the opportunity for companies to initiate business contacts in a friendly environment and schedule meetings prior to the conference.
Introduced last year, Exhibitor Partnering now allows qualified exhibitors to hold meetings in their personal exhibitor booths. Attendees will still have the opportunity to attend traditional partnering meetings, held in the Business Forum’s private meeting booths. To take advantage of partnering, please visit here.
The BIO International Convention will highlight the latest trends and the newest opportunities for executives, investors, scientists, policy leaders, and media from around the world. Don’t miss out on your chance to connect with thousands of your colleagues in Chicago.
