After we wrapped up our last BIO International Convention – we took the time to convene focus groups made up of BIO members, convention attendees, exhibitors and others – to find out what they thought of the event. It is always interesting to get advice back from folks about things you care about – sometimes it is flattering, other times it can open your eyes to issues you had not previously thought about.
When we received the results – we discovered many ways to improve our event. While we enjoyed some flattering feedback, we decided to focus our attention on the not so flattering feedback and suggestions for changes that would help ensure that this event continues to be the best and most innovative biotech conference in the world.
As a result – one of the new features for 2014 will be expanded networking opportunities for attendees. From the opportunity at registration to self-identify subject areas you are interested in via easy-to-see credential buttons – to built-in networking time at the end of specific sessions – the 2014 BIO International Convention is going to offer attendees new, premier networking opportunities.
Our convention has always been about helping people and businesses identify opportunities – and with these new features it will be easier than ever. You can find out more by visiting the convention website at convention.bio.org.
