The Countdown Begins: All Futbol Eyes on Brazil, All Biotech Eyes on San Diego

While we are only a few short weeks from the world’s largest biotechnology event, the 2014 BIO International Convention, we are mere days away from arguably the biggest sporting event, which only happens every four years, the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

Beginning this Thursday, June 12th, the tournament will see the host country, Brazil square off against Croatia, a formidable opponent. Recognizing that one-third of all #BIO2014 attendees come from outside the United States, we want to help calm your viewing nerves.

Hosted by the BIO Latin America Conference, the World Cup Lounge will be located in the Sails Pavilion, Upper Level.  Thanks to the Lounge, you won’t miss a minute of the action with multiple screens allowing you to watch the games live. Be sure to stop by, grab a drink or bite to eat and meet fellow futbol enthusiasts in a relaxed environment.

Good to hear there is a spot to watch the FIFA World Cup 2014 at #BIO2014! Who will have access to the World Cup Lounge? Do people need convention access or does exhibitor access work too?
    Thank you!

Hi David! Any attendee can enter the World Cup Lounge at #BIO2014. Food will be available for purchase – although I’m not sure what’s on the menu.
