Stopping Hunger Through Biotechnology

Farmer Gene

By 2050, the world population will surge to 9 Billion, and feeding that growing population is a challenge that drives the global biotech community every day. In a world where already 1 Billion people suffer from hunger, we cannot let up in our efforts to develop and implement new, more sustainable agricultural practices.

That was the message of the February 12th event titled, “Now Serving: 9 Billion”, where a panel of international experts discussed biotechnology and other innovations that could help meet the challenge of feeding and fueling a growing world.

The team from IAmBiotech and What Can Biotech Do For You? attended the event and met individually with the panelists to further discuss how biotechnology can help stop the problem of global hunger and energy insecurity.

Check out our video recap, including exclusive interviews with the panelists.
