BIO Testifies at the EPA Public Hearing for the 2014 Standards for the RFS

Today, December 5, 2013, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), held a public hearing for the proposed rule 2014 Standards for the Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS) Program. The EPA has drafted amendments to the RFS program regulations which was established in the Energy Independence and Security Act (EISA) of 2007. Innovation Act Passed By House

The Innovation Act (H.R. 3309), which is intended to reduce frivolous patent-related litigation, was passed by the House today. As we’ve noted, BIO does not support the bill in its current form, which would ultimately undermine biotech research and innovation by making it more difficult for patent holders with legitimate claims to protect their intellectual property.
