Institute of Medicine Releases Report on Adverse Effects of Vaccines: Evidence and Causality

On August 25th the Institute of Medicine (IOM) released a consensus report titled “Adverse Effects of Vaccines: Evidence and Causality”. The independent panel researched adverse effects associated with eight common childhood vaccines. The panel found there are no links between vaccines and autism or Type 1 diabetes and rarely connections to other adverse events.
