This may be BIO’s 25th Anniversary, but there are plenty of firsts within the BIO International Convention’s Emerging Opportunities in Global Markets track this year that will be of particular interest to globally minded attendees. We are proud to present the Global Leadership Forum, consisting of three panels and two fireside chats, exploring questions ranging from international public policy to economic innovation. The also new China Summit @ BIO International will examine recent key regulatory, policy, and industrial reforms intended to position China as a globally competitive biopharmaceutical player.
The Global Leadership Forum’s high-level sessions bring together biotech and international policy leaders to discuss innovation and the many trade-related challenges companies face. Starting at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, June 5th, the forum’s agenda will feature three diverse sessions addressing a variety of issues of critical importance to emerging markets; the agenda will also feature fireside chats with the Minister of Health from Australia and MSD’s President of Emerging Markets.
The China Summit @ BIO International will be the place to be for those interested in the China biopharmaceutical market. Featuring industry trailblazers and experts with a wealth of knowledge on the latest trends and changes, the Summit will cover a diverse range of topics, from intellectual property rights, healthcare policy, to capital markets. The Summit will also launch the first ever study to examine the aspirations of emerging biopharma companies interested in expanding to China and beyond. The half-day China Summit @ BIO International will begin at noon on Monday, June 4.
Alongside these new offering will be the always popular, timely and relevant Scientific American WorldVIEW session on June 7th at 12:00 pm. This year’s panel will explore the ethical, commercial and scientific issues that challenge innovation today.
This year’s Convention will also offer a fresh opportunity to visit and experience first-hand Boston’s world leading life-sciences companies. On Monday, June 4th and Friday, June 8th, Convention guests are invited to explore many of the facilities, labs and incubators where biotech innovation happens. Guests will be immersed in Boston’s world-renowned biotech culture with multiple tours to choose from.
